Inquiry Theme
Students explore how people in the ancient world expressed themselves musically. They question how they currently express themselves. ​

Task: A time traveller has come to visit from 2000 years in the future. They want to know about the lives of the year 4's at SJB. Using 1 or 2 recorders, create your very own notation and leave a musical code for people thousands of years later to interpret. What would you want to tell them about yourself? Express yourself. Who are you? What should they know?
Musical Skills
Students will practise aural skills through listening and appraising a variety of inspirational team building songs. Using rhythm sticks and djembes, students will create their own musical chants and inspirational songs.
